Employers of migrant and seasonal farmworkers must comply with MSPA and its extensive rules governing the use of farm labor contractors; worker protections involving accurate disclosure of the terms and conditions of employment, timely payment of wages and maintenance of employment records; motor vehicle safety, insurance and workers’ compensation; and compliance with federal and state housing safety and health standards.

Failure to comply with the technical requirements of MSPA can and often does result in administrative complaints by the Department of Labor or federal court litigation brought by plaintiffs’ attorneys for actual and statutory damages.

This webinar will focus on common MSPA compliance problems encountered by growers and will provide practical advice on how to avoid these problems.
